From which account should I pay taxes?

Entrepreneurs can use personal accounts to run their business. However, there are several nuances.

Currently, having a business account is mandatory when:

The other entrepreneur is a party to the transaction for which the payment is made, and the one-off value of the transaction, regardless of the number of resulting payments, exceeds the equivalent of PLN 15,000.

If you are an entrepreneur, you can pay PIT, VAT or ZUS taxes from the following accounts:

  • Business account;
  • VAT account;
  • Your personal bank account.

If you have a company, we recommend making tax payments from your business account.

Remember, if you are an entrepreneur, your family member has the right to pay tax for you from their account. This could be: a spouse, ascendants, siblings, stepfather or stepmother. However, it is acceptable to make a payment by another person, provided that the amount of tax does not exceed PLN 1,000.
